INTERNATIONAL FLOATING HOTEL PROJECTS
SUNBORN VANCOUVER
PROJECT MOVES FORWARD TO NEXT PHASE WITH CITY APPROVAL
Vancouver City Council has approved the rezoning application for the planned Sunborn Vancouver floating hotel, marking a major milestone for the project.
The approved rezoning allows for a 250-room floating hotel, a floating dock at water level, and dedicated public and commercial spaces. The project is being developed in partnership with Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre (VHFC) and is planned for a prime waterfront location adjacent to the Vancouver Convention Centre, one of North America’s leading conference and exhibition venues.
The Council’s decision clears the way for the project to move into its next phase of development. Sunborn Vancouver is expected to become an exciting addition to the Company’s portfolio of landmark floating hotel assets, bringing the Group’s distinctive hospitality concept to one of the world’s most dynamic waterfront cities.
Sunborn International will now continue to advance the project timetable, implementation structure and financing arrangements in collaboration with its local partners and stakeholders.
Sunborn London – EVOLUTION
ROYAL VICTORIA DOCK
A key advantage of our yacht hotels is the ability to move, upgrade and expand hotels in the same prime location. We are currently at an advanced stage with a planning application for a newly constructed yacht hotel in Royal Victoria Dock, with completion of the planning process expected in Q2 2026.
The 134-meter vessel will expand London's hotel operations from 138 to 225 rooms and offer a 200-seat restaurant and expanded leisure and event spaces. The new Sunborn London will also be an environmentally friendly hotel, through its sustainable design and use energy efficient materials, smart glazing and thermal heat exchange systems.
SUNBORN SEVILLE
Muelle de las Delicias
Sunborn International is in the final stages of obtaining a 30-year concession to develop a yacht hotel on a prime waterfront site in the centre of the Andalusian capital, Seville. Completion of the lease and go ahead for the new hotel are expected in the near term.
Designed to be carefully integrated into the location and complement the area, the development will include a new waterfront park located next to the hotel. The project will further enhance the waterfront and provide new public access to the water, as well as new hospitality and event venues.
Sunborn International has developed a scalable, dynamic and specialised floating hotel product, to realise the potential of unused water space in city harbours and prestigious waterfront locations.
With two decades of experience and over €200m invested, we’re expanding to North America and other international locations, with a proven concept and successful track record designing, custom-building and operating luxury floating hotels, with exclusive accommodation and unique event facilities.
With high potential for future growth, Sunborn International is a pioneer in the hospitality sector, aiming to become the global market leader in floating accommodation, tourism and event properties.
Our knowledge and experience of floating real estate development is long established and highly specialised, extending to land integration and all areas of water development, including marine construction, access structures, long term maintenance and international relocation of floating hotels.
Sunborn International’s yacht hotels can be built anywhere in the world and transported to a final location. They also have the advantage of leaving no environmental footprint after removal.
Working with leading academic institutions and green technology partners, we are developing a new generation of low-carbon floating hotels and event venues, powered by renewable energy and featuring sustainable materials and new eco-technologies designed to minimise environmental impact.
